Supported by the Hefei government, Hefei tech zone is beefing up efforts to expand China Security Valley.
China Security Valley, which enjoys advantages in innovation, education and industry, is now a gathering place for cyber-security enterprises and professionals, and is expected to be the nation's industrial base for the development of China's cyber-security industry.
In 2008, the Hefei government issued policies for advancing the development of the city's public security industry, and through years of development the city is now home to more than 220 cyber-security enterprises in what has become a cluster for public security firms.
Hefei is expected to foster the cyberspace security industry into a new growth engine for the city's future economic development.
The core area of China Security Valley is located in Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone, with a planning area of more than 20 hectares, and is positioned as a place for cultivating talents and a research and development base for cyberspace security.
In the past three years, the growth rate of Hefei's cyberspace security industry has surpassed 30 percent year-on-year, and some advanced enterprises such as New H3C Group, a digital services provider, and QuantumCTek, one of China's main manufacturers of quantum key distribution devices have settled in the city, enabling a complete industrial chain of cyberspace security to take shape in Hefei.
