Beijing Anzhen Hospital to settle in Hefei high-tech zone
Costing 1.5 billion yuan ($212.49 million), construction of the Anhui Hospital of Beijing Anzheng Hospital – to be located in Hefei, capital of East China's Anhui province – was approved recently by the National Development and Reform Commission.
The planned hospital will settle in the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University's branch in the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone, or Hefei high-tech zone.
Covering an area of 71 mu (about 4.73 hectares), it is expected to open 20 inpatient wards and 1,000 hospital beds within five years of operation, with an annual outpatient and emergency volume reaching 160,000 people.

Beijing Anzhen Hospital, affiliated to Capital Medical University, is a tertiary general hospital focusing on the treatment of cardiovascular and pulmonary vascular diseases.
Construction of the new hospital is set to start in June 2023 and should be completed and start operating by the end of 2025.
