Students get closer look at China Speech Valley & Quantum Center

A group of students from the Gaoxin Experimental School that's affiliated with Hefei No 6 High School started their visit to Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone on April 15, and are immersing themselves in the most advanced technology in the world.
Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone, or Hefei high-tech zone, is located in Hefei city, which is the provincial capital of East China's Anhui province.
Hefei high-tech zone is home to the China Speech Valley, which is the first national-level artificial intelligence industrial park in China, and is known as the Quantum Center for its pioneering quantum technology industry.

The zone is also home to some of the most high-tech businesses in Anhui. According to official figures from the zone, its GDP topped 130 billion yuan ($19.17 billion) in 2022.
The student activities have been held six times since 2017, and this year it will run until May, allowing teenagers in Hefei to get a closer look at pioneering enterprises and their latest developments. The purpose of the activities is to cultivate students' interests in science and technology and broaden their horizons.
